Alan Kyerematen, a former minister of trade, has declared his intention to run as an independent in the 2024 election.
On Monday, Mr. Kyerematen announced his plans during a news conference.
He claimed that his choice was motivated by his conviction that adopting this strategy would allow him to more effectively advance the interests of the Ghanaian people.
His exit from the New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential candidacy led to this.
In his remarks at the super delegates’ meeting on August 26, Mr. Kyerematen referred to electoral irregularities, unjust treatment, and bias.
He has publicly announced his departure from the NPP in order to further this objective.
He has urged Ghanaians to get ready for and support his attempt to bring about the transformation Ghana needs in light of this event.
He continued by saying that his campaign will aid Ghanaians in escaping the National Democratic Congress’ (NDC) and NPP’s dominance.
Mr. Kyerematen reaffirmed his dedication to tackling the nation’s urgent problems, such as social welfare, economic growth, and job creation.
