On Sunday May 7, 2023, Great Olympics will host Kotoku Royals at the WAFA Stadium in a crucial game that could potentially determine the fate of both teams in the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League season.

The two teams find themselves at the bottom of the league standings, with only 12 points separating them. For Great Olympics, they have won just two of their last 10 games, failing to capitalize on their previous 2-0 win over defending champions Asante Kotoko. Meanwhile, Kotoku Royals have also only won two of their last 10 games and are currently in last place.

Bismark Kobi-Mensah, the head coach of Great Olympics, will be under immense pressure to get his team back on the winning track to avoid relegation. The team will look to their top scorer, Gladson Awako, who has been in fine form this season, to lead them to victory.

On the other hand, Kotoku Royals, led by coach John Eduafo, are fighting hard to avoid being relegated back to Division One. Despite being tipped as favorites to be relegated, they managed to secure a draw against league leaders Aduana in their last game, which should give them some confidence heading into this fixture.

For the most part, it could be a tricky fixture for Great Olympics, as Kotoku Royals will be eager to prove that they are still in the fight to avoid relegation. Great Olympics will need to bring their A-game if they hope to secure all three points at home.
